The NSC group is established in Alsace since 1810. Nicolas Schlumberger and his descendants have made their textile and industrial activities prosper in the Florival valley in Guebwiller for two centuries.
Despite the challenges encountered over time, the Schlumberger family remains the group’s main shareholder, represented on the Board of Directors by its seventh generation.
Since the marketing of the first rectilinear comber for long fibers by N. Schlumberger in 1848, our development has been linked to a strong and constant policy of innovation. The machines marketed by Sant’Andrea Novara and Seydel are also benchmarks in this industry. This commitment was reflected, more recently, in the marketing of the first non-stop unwinder with end-to-end connection by Monomatic. The Schlumberger foundry is also at the forefront in the field of graphitic and lamellar cast irons.
Internationalization has been a major pillar of our activities for a long time. N. Schlumberger’s combing equipment was already exported to twenty countries on 3 continents at the beginning of the 20th century. Today, the group is active in 70 countries and supports customers for very diverse applications depending on geographic areas.
Our strategy is based on close proximity to our customers and the technical excellence of our products. Our values favor individual initiative, team spirit and respect for employees.
Since 2020, the group has refocused mainly on the Fiber to yarn textile sector: the expertise accumulated by the 4 brands Cognetex, N.Schlumberger, Sant’Andrea Novara and Seydel positions us today as a world leader in combing, recombing and preparation for spinning in the field of natural and synthetic long fibers, as well as technical fibers.Our employees have been committed to us for many years. Their expertise and perfect knowledge of our customers make it possible to develop innovative products and services such as the mechatronic 50 and Fiumi ranges marketed since summer 2024 by N.Schlumberger and Sant’Andrea Novara.
We have initiated an active approach aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of our activities and of our products in order to contribute to the fight against global warming.
These efforts will allow us to ensure sustainable and prosperous development for the group founded by Nicolas Schlumberger, thus guaranteeing its sustainability and constant adaptation to future challenges.
